The 18th Uzbekistan International Oil & Gas (OGU) Exhibition will be held on

13 - 15 May 2014 at the UzExpocentre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The adjorning conference which will be held on 14 - 15 May 2014 at the International Hotel.

Officially supported by Uzbekneftegaz, OGU is the best attended oil and gas event in Uzbekistan. The event provides a senior-level business platform for international oil and gas companies as well as service providers to converge with the local operators and establish new business opportunities.

Recent activities in the Uzbekistan oil and gas market:

  • China National Petroleum Corporation will start construction work at the gas condensate field in Uzbekistan in the third quarter of 2014, as by reported by RIA Novosti
  • Natural gas production at the Shakhpakhty field in the north-west of Uzbekistan will amount to more than 315 million cubic metres, which exceeds the projected level by 7 million cubic metres
  • LUKOIL plans to invest US$444m into exploration and mining from Jan - Sep
  • Russia’s Petromaruz will start to implement a project on expansion of heavy oil refinery in the Surkhandarya region during the first quarter of 2014
  • Uzbekistan GTL plans to attract US$3 billion in the fourth quarter of 2014 to finance construction of the plant on production of synthetic fuel
